1: Acquisition of Shares in Lanka Realty Investment PLC

Shares Purchased: The new investor and the management purchased 44,939,969 shares (21.26%) from the open market @ LKR 10/share = LKR 449,399,690 (USD 1,508,053).

Total Cost Including Brokerage, CDS, CSE, SEC, STL Fees: LKR 453,579,654 (USD 1,569,480).

2: Acquisition of 49% in Lanka Realty Development (Pvt) Ltd

LRD was 100% owned by LRI, where 49% was given to the new investor by way of a new share issue. Shares Issued to the new investor: 54,960,957 new shares. Valuation: LKR 21.99 per share. Capital Infusion: LKR 1,208,389,000 (USD 4,054,997).

By paying down around a fourth of our debt, this investment strengthens the company's balance sheet and advances its growth trajectory. Profits should rise as a result of the additional capital's ability to boost revenue through improved operational efficiencies.
